Rhinestone Ribbon Brooch Vintage Green Tourmaline Stones Pave

Green clear rhinestone gold pin brooch

Vintage rhinestone ribbon cluster brooch done in pave rhinestone ribbons with green tourmaline and olivine prong set rhinestones.

MARKINGS: The brooch is unsigned but an identical one that is signed Weiss appears on page 112 of David Lee Salsbury’s “ABC’s of Costume Jewelry”.

DESCRIPTION: The brooch I will describe is the circular ribbon cluster. It is done in olivine and green tourmaline colored rhinestones with clear rhinestone ribbons. The metal is an antiqued gold tone that was usually common in Regency, Hollycraft and some Weiss pieces. The stones are all prong set with the exception of the tiny clear rhinestones, which are hand set pave style and it measures 2 1/2″ x 2″.

CONDITION:The brooch is in excellent condition with some wear to the back metal only. The photo makes it appear very dirty but it is the antiquing to the gold tone metal. The stones are all present, bright and shiny but it may need a gentle cleaning as I have only given it a light cleaningh for photo purposes only.
